It is sometimes translated as prophetic guide. A synonymous term is terma key (Wyl. gter gyi lde’u mig). The tertön may come across his khajang unexpectedly, or he may discover it according to detailed instructions. Another related term if jangbu (Wyl. byang bu), which can refer either to the authorization code or to the terma itself.[1]
