The five samadhis on the path of liberation of Mahayoga are, according to the Guhyagarbha Tantra:
- great emptiness samadhi (Wyl. stong pa chen po’i ting nge ‘dzin)
- magical compassion samadhi (Wyl. snying rje sgyu ma’i ting nge ‘dzin)
- single mudra samadhi (Wyl. phyag rgya gcig pa’i ting nge ‘dzin)
- elaborate mudra samadhi (Wyl. phag rgya sprod bcas kyi ting nge ‘dzin)
- samadhi of group practice (Wyl. tshom bu tshogs sgrub kyi ting nge ‘dzin)
