Previous Incarnations

The Dzogchen Rinpoche Incarnations

1. Dzogchen Pema Rigdzin (1625-1697)

He was born in Kham Riwoche. He studied with Karma Chakmé, Rigdzin Duddul Dorje, Namchö Mingyur Dorje, Rigdzin Chökyi Gyatso, etc. He went to Kham at the age of 60. At the age of 61 (??) he founded Orgyen Samten Chöling. He passed away aged 73.

2. Gyurme Thekchok Tenzin Pal Zangpo (1699-1758)

Studied with Pönlop Rinpoche and Terchen Gyurme Dorje etc.

3. Ngedön Tendzin Zangpo (1759-1792)

He studied with second Nyima Drakpa, Öntrul Pema Kundrol Namgyal. Died at the age of 35 according to JKW. Wrote Khandro Nyingtik commentary.

4. Mingyur Namkhé Dorje (1793-1870) aka Jikme Khyentse Wangchuk. Born in ldan yul.

5. Thupten Chökyi Dorje (1872-1935)

6. Jikdral Changchub Dorje (1935-1959)

7. Jikmé Losal Wangpo (b. 1964)

Long ago, you were the Sugata, Tsuktorchen,

PAK PÉ YUL DU DRUP CHEN KU KU RI
In the holy land of India, you were the mahasiddha Kukkuripa,

KHAWA CHEN DU PALDEN TANGPA SHYÉ
In the Land of Snows, you were the Glorious Taklung Thangpa:

PÉMA RIGDZIN SHYAP LA SOLWA DEP
Pema Rigdzin, at your feet I pray!

TENPA YUN RING NÉ PÉ TASHI SHOK
May all be auspicious for your teaching to remain for ages to come!
