Khamtrul Rinpoche (khams sprul rin po che) is the name of the succesive incarnations of Khampa Karma Tenphel (1548-1627), one of the principal disciples of Yongdzin Ngawang Zangpo, an important master of the Drukpa Kagyü lineage. The ninth Khamtrul Rinpoche, born in 1980, resides at Khampagar Monastery, Tashi Jong, Himachal Pradesh, India.
