The six stains (Wyl. dri ma drug; Tib. དྲི་མ་དྲུག་) are forms of conduct to be avoided when listening to the teachings. They are mentioned in Vasubandhu’s Well Explained Reasoning:

Arrogance, lack of faith,
Lack of any interest,
Outward distraction, inward tension,
And discouragement are the six stains.[1].

༈ རྣམ་བཤད་རིག་པ་ལས།

ང་རྒྱལ་དང་ནི་མ་དད་དང་། །
དོན་དུ་གཉེར་བ་མེད་ཉིད་དང་། །
ཕྱི་རོལ་རྣམ་གཡེངས་ནང་དུ་སྡུད། །
སྐྱོ་བས་ཉན་པ་དྲི་མ་ཡིན། །
