The General Sutra section (Tib. མདོ་སྡེ་, Wyl. mdo sde) (Toh 94-359) of the Kangyur is a large section containing many sutras, varied in length, and arranged with Mahayana sutras (Toh 94-286) first, followed by Shravakayana works (Toh 287-359). In the Dergé Kangyur it contains 266 works, while in other Kangyurs the contents and their order vary somewhat.
