Khajang

Khajang is the authorization code that gives the locations of the termas allotted to a specific tertön, and instructions on how and when he has to reveal them. A synonymous term is terma key (Wyl. gter gyi lde’u mig). The tertön may come across his khajang unexpectedly, or he may discover it according to detailed instructions. Another related term if jangbu (Wyl.byang bu), which can refer either to the authorization code or to the terma itself.
