Bodhi tree (Skt. bodhi vṛkṣa; Tib. བྱང་ཆུབ་ཀྱི་ཤིང་, Wyl. byang chub kyi shing) — the tree in Bodhgaya under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, which is a pipal, or sacred fig tree (Ficus religiosa).
