Ten great aspirations of a bodhisattva — [1]
- to venerate the buddhas
- to retain the sacred Dharma
- to manifest all bodily forms
- to enter into all realms
- to perfect the paramitas
- to bring sentient beings to maturation
- to purify the realms
- to abide by the experience that accords with all bodhisattvas
- to be meaningful in all modes of behavior
- to attain the great enlightenment
Accompanying these ten aspirations, there are hundreds of thousands of aspirations, as well as countless minor ones.
