The two classes of Mahayoga (Tib. མ་ཧཱ་ཡོ་གའི་སྡེ་གཉིས་, Wyl. ma hA yo ga'i sde gnyis) — The teachings and practices of the Mahayoga belong either to:
- the tantra class (Tib. རྒྱུད་སྡེ་, gyüdé; Wyl. rgyud sde) or
- the sadhana class (Tib. སྒྲུབ་སྡེ་, drupdé; Wyl. sgrub sde).
