Katok Gyalse Sönam Deutsen (1679-1723) was the son of Longsal Nyingpo and the immediate reincarnation of Rigdzin Düddul Dorje. He and his father were renowned nyingma masters, and both played a critical role in re-strengthening the Katok Monastery lineage and its monastery [1].
Katok Gyalse Sönam Deutsen had a son called Japhur Lama, who travelled to and settled in Pemakö, and whose next incarnation was Khengen Tulku, Dudjom Rinpoche's father.
Drimé Shyingkyong Gönpo (dri med zhing skyong mgon po) has been recognized as a reincarnation of Katok Gyalse Sönam Deutsen.
