Dzigar Choktrul Incarnation Line

Dzigar Choktrul (Tib. འཛི་སྒར་མཆོག་སྤྲུལ་, Wyl. 'dzi sgar mchog sprul) Incarnation Line — the successive incarnations of the great Drukpa Kagyü master Dzigar Choktrül Sönam Gyamtso. The Dzigar Choktruls are closely linked with the Khamtrul Rinpoches.
- Sönam Gyamtso (Wyl. bsod nams rgya mtsho) (1608-1669) — one of the main three disciples of the First Khamtrul Rinpoche, Khampa Karma Tenphel, and founder of Dzigar Monastery.
- Gelek Chödrup Tendzin (Wyl. dge legs mchog grub bstan 'dzin) (1672-1719)
- Mipham Trinlé Paljor (Wyl. mi pham 'phrin las dpal 'byor) (1720-1740)
- Dorje Drakpo Tsal (Wyl. rdo rje drag po rtsal) (1740-1798)
- Chökyi Nyima (Wyl. chos kyi nyi ma) (b. 1799?)
- Ngawang Tenpé Nyima (Wyl. ngag dbang bstan pa'i nyi ma)
- Ngawang Tendzin Palzang (Wyl. ngag dbang bstan 'dzin dpal bzang) (d.1937?), older brother of Dzigar Kongtrul Lodrö Rabpel
- Lhachok Dorje (Wyl. lha mchog rdo rje) (1938-c.1959)
- Karma Tenpa Gyurmé Gocha Trinley Kunchap Palzangpo, the current Zigar Rinpoche was born in Bhutan in 1961.
